Local entrepreneur strikes gold with Brazilian investment.

Local businessman Paul Clarke, Managing Director of Invest in Brazil Ltd, struck gold when his company won the GOLD award for Best International Developer for his Tambaba Country Club Resort, at the recent Overseas Property Professionals (OPP) Awards for Excellence.

The awards ceremony, hosted by the OPP – the voice of the overseas property industry, took place earlier this month at Excel, London as part of one of the biggest gatherings of overseas property professionals in Europe this year - The Property Investor and OPP Live 2010.

Judges decided that Tambaba Country Club Resort were worthy winners of the overall category. They said:

‘Invest in Brazil have an international project anchored locally, where the mix between residential and tourist development is magnificent. The attention to detail and no doubt the time, effort and money spent in gaining SIPP compliance, in doing transparent due diligence, in stepping into the shoes of the purchaser, and in identifying and mitigating risk was truly impressive. This is clearly an excellent development with sound partners acting with experience and ethics. A worthy winner.’

After working as an overseas property agent for four years and witnessing many investors not getting the returns nor the investment that was initially anticipated or promised, Mr Clarke felt there had to be a better way of investing overseas. He, together with his partners, decided to take full responsibility on behalf of their clients and become property developers as well as agents in order to ensure that their investors got a tangible asset with genuine capital growth from day one. Invest in Brazil was born as a result in 2005

Speaking after the award ceremony, Mr Clarke said:
